Resleepering Capability
Rail & civil plant, attachments, people and experience
Overview
Why We're an Ideal Partner for Resleepering Work
Resleepering is a specialised discipline — it takes the right plant, rail-experienced people and an operator who understands track geometry, possession timelines and network access. Jordan Rail brings all three together, backed by an in-house fleet that is maintained, certified and network-approved for work across Australia's rail networks.
- Dedicated resleepering plant — hi-rail excavators, sleeper handlers, regulators and tampers
- Tri-gauge capable equipment approved across major Australian rail networks
- Experienced crews and supervisors who live track work every day
- Our own transport fleet — plant, attachments and materials move without third-party delays
- In-house maintenance keeps plant available, compliant and on program
- Custom attachments and items fabricated in-house to solve any site-specific task
- Strong safety, environmental and quality management systems on every job

Proposed Roster
Our proposed roster is 12 days on and 2 days off — crews travel in on the morning of the first day and travel out on the 12th day.

Support Equipment
We can adapt to any methodology you require — we have the plant, equipment and experienced operators.
Clipping machines
Clipping machines for clipping up sleepers.
Self-propelled tamper
For spot tamping, track alignment, track lifting and turnout tamping. It can be driven on and off track with ease, and can be loaded on and off a tilt tray for ease of mobilisation.
Jewellery & push trolleys
Jewellery trolleys and push trolleys for movement of materials and equipment along the track.
Transport
Floats, tilt trays, beavertails and flatbeds available for movement of plant and equipment.
Ballast Discharge / Top-Up
Our demountable flocon and rail trailer setup gives us a flexible, controlled option for ballast discharge and top-up — from a single controlled drop to a full ballast train, without a tipping operation.
The Fleet
6 hi-rail dumpers, 5 hi-rail tippers, 1 hi-rail flocon truck and 4 demountable flocon containers.
Demountable Flocons on Rail Trailers
The flocons can be easily mounted on our 6 m rail trailers using container locks, and our hi-rail dumpers, excavators or rail tugs can tow them — individually or in multiple combinations. The rail tug can tow all four together. Ideal for ballast discharge.
A Safer Option for Ballast Placement
The flocons provide a safer option for ballast placement, as there is no tipping operation and therefore reduced risk associated with tipping or capsizing. Each flocon has three discharge chutes at the rear — left, centre and right.
Remote Control Operation
Remote control operation allows the operator to start and stop the discharge, increase or decrease the discharge speed, open or close the left, centre or right chute independently, and open or close all chutes, or any combination of chutes.
Demountable Flocon Specifications
Approximately 7 m long × 2.5 m wide × 1.5 m high, with a 14 m³ capacity and 20 t payload (rail trailer weight additional). Fork-tyne pockets incorporated into the base allow a suitable loader to lift and position the flocon onto the rail trailer on track and remove it when required. The flocon is designed to be as low as possible to provide additional clearance when working under overhead infrastructure.
